The Elder Range from the previous post in all it’s rugged glory.

Again taken on beautiful Arkaba station which, along with Rawnsley Park station cover the distance between Wilpena Pound and the Elder Range.

The towering walls of the Elder Range south of Wilpena Pound…a stark contrast to the rolling hills of historic Arkaba Station.

It was the tree trunk that was so outstanding in the last light of day.

Walking a creek bed looking for something else, it was hard to miss this simple but beautiful scene.

But the light was falling fast and it took a couple of evenings before  the weather was right again.

A circular polarising filter was used when taking this picture on Edeowie Station on the western side of the Flinders Ranges.
