<\/a><\/p>\nBack home and it’s still blowing. It’s been a particularly savage spring with strong to gale force winds and dust storms. I’ve had the power lines blow down and the roof blow off my shed, so I think a really calm image and one of my favorites might be a good post.<\/a><\/p>\n
‘View From Coulthards’<\/p>\n
Here the afternoon sun\u00a0 is softening the spectacular hills and mountains of the far north of the Flinders Ranges.<\/p>\n
It was taken near Coulthards Lookout on Arkaroola’s famous ridgetop track and I’m tried to get the camera as close as possible to the sun without getting a lens full of flare.<\/p>\n
This took quite a bit of doing and to the casual observer probably looked hilarious as I tried to operate the camera while holding up all sorts of things – hat, cap, bits out of the camera bag, anything handy – at weird angles to avoid the dreaded sunspots.<\/p>\n
