This little lady is a Walleroo or Euro, plentiful in the hills and and mountains of the central and northern Flinders Ranges.
Related to the kangaroo, they are extremely nimble on the rocky slopes and escarpments. Climbing these hills seems surprisingly effortless for them, particularly to one loaded down with camera equipment, puffing and panting.
The country is the central Flinders Ranges, north of Hawker with Jarvis Hill in the background.
