I have had my eye on this field some time. I pass it on way to and from Adelaide. I have often though ‘one day the right conditions will make for a good image’.

This day it seemed perfect – wind howling, squalls of rain and light falling on the field through rapidly scudding clouds. Almost minimalist, but dramatic.

Just as well I had the chance.

A couple of weeks ago I passed by again. The trees were lying on their sides – cut down for some reason.

The consequences of cutting down trees should be considered more carefully before the deed is done.

Great shot, and as it happens, a historical shot since these tree's are no more!

There are so few trees in the wheat fields as you drive along these roads; its quite sad.
In other areas of Australia people are madly planting trees rather than cutting them down.
